We embrace the obsession at our project-based home. A mood for digging holes in the yard turned into a gutter trench pond that follows the runoff flow of a roof downspout. The output hose of the pump runs up into the downspout, turning the downspout into a gurgling resonance chamber. This has become an evening contemplation area for the kids. Sit on the rocks, and toss pebbles in the pond you built.
