Bubble algae is a nuisance algae in reef tanks. Our goby tank is a reef rubble and macroalgae environment, and I don’t mind a little patch of valonia in that context. The growth is interesting, and this variety is more easily removed than others. Dark spots turn into dark bumps turn into new branches.
